Resources for Child Caring of St. Paul, Minnesota, is pleased to announce that Linda Hein has joined the organization as director of Redleaf Press. Linda brings to the position a passion for educational publishing and an extensive track record of accomplishment and leadership in the field. She most recently worked for Haights Cross Communications, Inc. (HCC), as President and CEO of Buckle Down Publishing. Before that, she worked for ten years—beginning as Sales Manager and ending as President—at American Guidance Service (AGS), an educational publishing company that develops assessments and curricula for special needs. She also has experience as an English teacher and has held other management positions.
Ms. Hein has a strong commitment to the quality resources that people have come to expect from Redleaf Press. "Joining Redleaf Press represents a rare opportunity to work for an organization that has a proud tradition of serving the early childhood education community with targeted products of exceptional quality," she says. "I enjoy working in an environment where I know that the products are going to make a difference in the world."
Ms. Hein plans to increase Redleaf Press's visibility as a trusted provider of early childhood materials and to become more interactive with customers which will help Redleaf Press continue to provide timely, targeted, and quality materials. "Early childhood providers are challenged to fund their programs, to make them accessible for the intended population, to ensure that their staff is appropriately trained, and to demonstrate results. Theirs is a huge responsibility and it's made more difficult with ongoing funding challenges in the face of increasing demands for accountability. Redleaf Press can best address these challenges by adhering to rigorous publishing standards in terms of quality, applicability, and accountability; by publishing materials that are uniquely targeted to our customer base; and by earning the trust of our customers."
Carol Rhode, executive director of Resources for Child Caring, stated how pleased she is to have Ms. Hein on board: "We were fortunate to find her! With her publishing experience in education, her unique background is a perfect fit for Redleaf Press."
