Michael Kauper of Turner & Kauper Child Care in Minneapolis submitted this story:
Our family child care home has been visiting Sue's horse farm for about 20 years, and we always feed the horses carrots or
apples, throwing pieces through the corral fence.
Henry, a brave and direct two year old was with us for his first visit to the horses. Now, you must know that Henry's aunt
owns a huge, well-behaved dog who visits his family quite often.
I gave Henry a big piece of carrot. He walked up to a huge chestnut stallion, held out his carrot, and in a commanding voice
said, "Sit!"
